Vogue Rail: Vogue France celebrates travel for its June-July 2023 edition

We just wanted to have lunch together before the Prada show. Then, as always, the conversation turned to our four countries and our four editions of Vogue. In the middle of Milan Fashion Week, Inés Lorenzo (Vogue Spain), Kerstin Weng(Vogue Germany), Francesca Ragazzi (Vogue Italy) and myself, a panini in one hand and a coke in the other, decided to create a shared edition of Vogue.What brings our countries closer together? Why not the train which, for many Europeans, has long been a symbol of easy, affordable and sustainable travel.

The June-July 2023 edition of Vogue France: A declaration of love for travel

This connection between women from different countries coupled with this desire to share, which stems from common values and visions, won out. Many other international Vogue colleagues rallied around us to support this central theme, and Vogue Rail was born.

The resulting edition pays homage to travel, and acts as a declaration of love for similar experiences, for shared dreams, and a global fascination for fashion that seeps through the pages. From Germany to Tibet, from France to Senegal, and from Italy to Sri Lanka, this issue celebrates the joys of common discoveries, and of movement – in both the literal and the figurative sense. As the philosopher Ralph Waldo Emersonsaid: “Life is a journey, not a destination.” Happy reading!
