A Magazine Curated By Willy Chavarria — Issue 28
A Magazine Curated By presents its 28th issue, curated by American designer Willy Chavarria, marking a decade of his eponymous label.
Rooted in Chavarria’s Mexican-American heritage and the visual language of Chicano communities in California’s Central Valley, this issue explores identity, human dignity, community, faith, and the transformative power of fashion. Through photography, art, interviews, personal stories, and cultural perspectives, the magazine creates a dialogue between fashion, activism, and contemporary life.
The issue features contributions from ACT UP Latino Caucus, Alfonso Gonzalez Jr., Carlos Jaramillo, Carlos Nazario, Diego Bendezu, John Yuyi, Lineisy Montero, Paola Ramos, Patti Wilson, Stefan Ruiz, and many others.
Highlights include Huron, California, Hometown Bounty, ACT UP Latino Caucus, Sanctuary, Notes on Baldwin, Willy’s Boys, Mixtapes, Eyes of Willy Chavarria, La Plaza, and Let Me Sow Love.
